Heal Appeal 2026

CAS provides medical assistance and emergency care for injured, ill, and vulnerable dogs and cats, both on the streets and in shelters. Our medical fund enables us to respond to urgent cases involving accident injuries, severe infections, maggot wounds, fractures, chronic illnesses, and other critical conditions.

Giving Street & Shelter Animals a Second Chance at Life ✨

Heal Appeal 2026 is a dedicated medical fundraising campaign that supports critical care cases, helping street and shelter animals receive the treatment they need and the chance to heal, recover, and eventually find loving homes. Every day across Singapore, countless community animals struggle to survive in industrial estates, farms, streets, and forgotten corners of our city. They rely on the compassion of volunteer feeders, rescuers, and shelters who step forward when no one else will.

But love alone is not enough. ❤️

When illness, injury, or age takes its toll, many of these animals require urgent medical intervention — surgeries, hospitalisation, rehabilitation, medication, and long-term care. For the individuals and shelters caring for them, these medical costs can quickly become overwhelming, even as they continue doing everything they can to save lives.

Heal Appeal 2026 exists to bridge this gap.

Through this campaign, we raise vital funds to ensure that vulnerable animals receive the medical treatment they deserve, regardless of their circumstances. Every dollar donated helps provide life-saving care, supports recovery, and gives these animals a second chance at a healthy life — and, ultimately, a loving home.

This year, we invite you to be part of their healing journey. Together, we can give hope to animals who have nowhere else to turn and ensure that no animal is denied treatment simply because the cost is too great.

Goggles — From Freedom to Survival

Goggles was a familiar face in Punggol — a community TNRM dog who lived freely among the area he knew as home. He was never suited for confinement. He thrived on the freedom to roam, resting in familiar spots and greeting the feeders who ensured he never went hungry.

But redevelopment and public complaints changed everything.

AVS relocated Goggles to Lim Chu Kang. As the farms in the area gradually closed down, Goggles' condition deteriorated. He became unwell and eventually suffered severe vision loss.

Concerned feeders refused to give up on him. They rescued Goggles and sought urgent help. Today, SOSD has kindly stepped forward to house and rehabilitate him, with hopes of eventually finding him a forever home once he recovers. In partnership, we have supported Goggles' initial health checks and surgery cost of $3,000.

Goggles has lost much in his journey — but with continued support, he will not lose his chance at love and safety.

Hooper — The Dog Left Behind 🐾

Hooper is a 7-year-old farm dog from Lim Chu Kang.

When the farm he lived on shut down, Hooper was simply left behind.

He was eventually found sitting silently inside a toilet cubicle — motionless, eyes clouded with sadness and filled with pus. His body bore signs of prolonged neglect: severely dry and damaged skin, painful entropion affecting his eyes, thickened knees, and osteoarthritic changes throughout his bones and joints.

Despite his suffering, Hooper remained gentle.

He is now undergoing treatment and receiving the medical attention he desperately needed. Once stable, the very feeders who refused to abandon him will foster and continue caring for him.

For dogs like Hooper, rescue is only the beginning. Healing takes time, commitment, and substantial medical support. ❤️

The Gentle Factory Cat from Joo Koon 🐱

In a factory compound in Joo Koon, a kind volunteer of ours cared daily for a gentle community cat who greeted everyone with affection.

One day, tragedy struck.

The cat was hit by a lorry and suffered multiple fractures requiring urgent surgery and intensive medical care.

Despite the pain, he continues to seek comfort from people around him — a reminder of the trust and love these animals still carry, even after hardship.

We are committed to funding his surgery and recovery, with the hope that once healed, he will finally experience the warmth and security of a loving home instead of life on the streets.

Fatty Boom - The Resilient Cat ✨

Fatty Boom was the victim of an accident that left him with severe nerve damage and a tail-pull injury, ultimately requiring the amputation of his tail. His recovery has been a challenging one. Despite undergoing surgery, he later developed a recurring infection and had to endure a second operation.

The road to healing remains long, and he continues to require ongoing care and monitoring.

Yet through it all, Fatty Boom has never lost his spirit. He remains an incredibly trusting, affectionate, and food-loving cat who greets people with warmth despite everything he has been through. Fatty Boom has shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity, and with continued support, he can focus on what he does best — being the loving and greedy boy we all adore.

He still has a long journey ahead, but we are hopeful that brighter days are coming for him.
