ABOUT US
Causes for Animals (Singapore) Limited is an animal welfare charity dedicated to supporting the needs of Singapore’s street and companion animals through ethical, sustainable, and compassionate animal welfare practices. We believe that every community shares a responsibility towards the wellbeing of its animals, and our programmes are developed to promote humane treatment, practical population management, and long-term welfare support for both animals and the people who care for them.
Our mission is to improve the lives of homeless, abandoned, and vulnerable companion animals in Singapore through rescue, medical care, rehabilitation, adoption, and community outreach. At the same time, we remain committed to advancing humane Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage (TNRM) efforts and responsible street animal management as sustainable solutions for reducing stray populations while improving animal welfare standards across the community.
CAS strongly believes that collaboration within the animal welfare community is essential. By working alongside rescuers, caregivers, volunteers, fosterers, veterinary partners, government agencies, and other welfare organisations, we are able to provide more effective support for Singapore’s street dogs and cats. Our community-focused programmes also aim to support street feeders, low-income caregivers, elderly pet owners, and others who dedicate themselves to caring for animals in need.
With over 30 years of combined experience in animal welfare work, the CAS team has developed practical and sustainable programmes that support both rescue and long-term animal management efforts. Our adoption and rehabilitation initiatives have helped many previously unwanted or vulnerable animals find homes, while our stray management programmes have contributed to stabilising street animal populations in areas under our care. Through education, outreach, and responsible fundraising initiatives, we continue working towards long-term sustainability and meaningful impact.
As we move forward, our focus remains on building a compassionate and responsible framework for animal welfare in Singapore. While we continue providing lifelong care and medical support for the elderly and special-needs dogs currently under our responsibility, we are progressively strengthening our efforts in TNRM, community outreach, education, and medical assistance programmes. Our long-term vision is a Singapore where humane population management, responsible community care, and compassion towards companion animals become a shared national standard.
