Meet the Team!
Causes for Animals (Singapore) was established with the vision of ensuring that every dog and cat in Singapore, whether in large or small shelters, registered organisations, or private rescues, would not have to face hunger or lack of basic care.
The aim was also to ease the burden on shelter operators, so that they would not need to constantly worry about rent, fundraising, or sourcing essential resources, and could instead focus on animal welfare.
CAS was founded in June 2013 by five individuals, each bringing prior experience from working in different animal shelters and rescue environments. Drawing on this shared background, the organisation was created to strengthen and support the wider animal welfare ecosystem in Singapore through collaboration, structure, and sustainable care practices.
Today, Causes for Animals (Singapore) is a registered charity (UEN 201314186Z) that continues to uphold these founding principles. The organisation currently provides care for 25 dogs, with additional cats placed in foster homes, supported by a network of caregivers and volunteers dedicated to their wellbeing.
