Gus in America
Look who's made it halfway round the world! Gus was rescued from Tuas years back and happily adopted by Suchi and her daughter. When they left for America, it was without a doubt Gus would go with them! We are truly grateful to Suchi for treating Gus as part of her family and taking him with her! Family should never be left behind regardless of circumstances. We wish the same happy tale for all rescued animals. |

Kaspy in Norway
Look who's landed in Norway! Kaspy was a street dog from Tampines who was fed for by an amazing feeder, Aunty Lee Chew. Kaspy was trapped as part of TNRM and later rehomed due to his gentle nature. Kaspy was plagued with skin issues and a heart murmur but his parents Siok and Daniel never gave up. Kaspy was family and they did all they could to make sure Kaspy flew with them. Kaspy has since settled in his new home in Oslo and is enjoying the lovely weather. He will get to experience his first snowfall this Christmas and we cannot wait for pictures. A special shout out to Siok and Daniel for taking Kaspy with you in spite of all the odds. A special thank you to the amazing folks at Animal World Veterinary Clinic for supporting Kaspy throughout his journey from a street dog to a very proud canine citizen of Norway. |

Phoebe in Holland
Phoebe has made her way to Holland! Phoebe was rescued off the streets from an industrial area in the Western part of Singapore. Phoebe was cared for by a feeder in the area who alerted us of her plight after the factory she roamed closed down. Like most street dogs, Phoebe was nervous and skittish. She took a while to warm up to new faces when she was first rescued. Phoebe eventually found love with Alannah and Mike! Alannah and Mike have been ever so kind and patient with helping Phoebe warm up and get used to the world at large. When it was time for them to leave Singapore, Phoebe was lucky enough to go with them! Phoebe now enjoys the calm and green of Holland and even has her own yard! Thank you Alannah and Mike for adopting and giving Phoebe her forever home! |

Ed in Mauritius
No better way to start the weekend than from the Mauritius we'd say! Ed, a local street dog from the streets of Gul has found his forever home with Natalia. Natalia adopted Ed a few years ago from us. He came in to us as he had been found abandoned on the streets of Gul and was getting into scuffles with the local packs there. Poor Ed. He took a while to learn good canine manners but eventually won the hearts of Natalia and her husband. Their work took them to Mauritius and we are so glad Ed went with them! Thank you for adopting and giving a street dog home. Most importantly, thank you for not leaving family behind. |

Max in Australia
Due to the immense changes in Singapore and all parts of the world due to the pandemic, we've seen numerous of our adopters being uprooted and having to move out of Singapore. We are very blessed to have amazing folks who not for a second think of leaving their family behind. Long flights, heavy cost, confined spaces, too small an apartment are but some of the reasons people tend to give their pets up but we believe when there's a will, there's a way. When it was time to return to Australia, Eve and Matt had no doubt in their minds that Max would join them in Australia no matter what it took. This meant a very long wait for a flight and quarantine slot and a place for Max to be in Singapore before the airlines were ready to fly him. Another beautiful adopter of ours, Mon and Hong as well as their rescue, Ning stepped in to care for Max till he could fly off and be reunited with Eve and Matt again. We would like to thank everyone for making the dream of a Tuas street dog come true. Max used to call the streets of Tuas his home and he is now a proud Australian citizen. Thank you folks for never leaving family behind! |
Buddy in Australia
Buddy is HOME! Buddy was once a street dog in the Seletar area. He was rescued in an effort to find him a home. Buddy eventually found love with Sandra and her beautiful family! When it was time to go home recently, Buddy was top of the list. Sandra took great care in ensuring Buddy would join her family in Australia! He now enjoys his strolls and swims at Coolum Beach! Thank You Sandra for giving Buddy his forever home off our streets Photo Credit : Photography by Sandra Macheroux |

Sofi in Spain
Our adopted dogs have travelled far & wide! We are sooo happy to celebrate the fact that our beautiful adopters have taken their canine pals with them to all parts of the world. One of the recent travellers include Sofi and her wonder pawrent, Dorota! Sofi was rescued during the Circuit Breaker last year when her owner was imprisoned and couldn't care for her any longer. Sofi found a home with Dorota eventually. Sofi has since left for Spain and enjoys long walks by the beach and tonnes of cuddles from her pawrents. Thank you Dorota for taking such amazing care of Sofi and giving her a forever home to call her own. |
Lucky and Trisha in Australia
Look who's made it all the way to Australia! Lucky and Trisha were adopted by Carl and Sarah from us a few years ago. Carl and Sarah had to return to Australia this year. With the horrid Covid situation, the future seemed so uncertain. Flights were cancelled and all other services heavily restricted. In spite of this, Carl and Sarah did not give up for Lucky and Trisha are family. They adopted the sisters as puppies. Lucky was a hit and run victim that Carl and Sarah nursed back to health. Never once was leaving the dogs behind an option. We would like to thank Carl and Sarah not only for adopting but taking the duo with them to Australia. A pet is for life and we are blessed to have met Carl and Sarah who gave both Lucky and Trisha their forever home. |

Marmaduke in Philippines
Say hello to Marmaduke all the way in the Philippines! Marmaduke was rescued as a hit and run victim from Tuas. He was fostered and then adopted by the amazing Deepti! Deepti recently made the move from Singapore to the Philippines and there was no doubt in her mind that Marmaduke would go wherever she would. Marmaduke is now enjoying the high life in the Philippines and is well loved by Deepti and her husband. We would like to thank them for giving Marmaduke a home off our streets and loving him like family. ❤️ |

Alvin in London
Someone's half way round the world! Lucky Alvin, now renamed Bailey was rescued from a drain with his siblings. Bailey was adopted by Elizabeth and her family last year. When Elizabeth discovered they had to leave Singapore in a rush to go home to Heathrow, she somehow managed to pull everything together. We love people like Elizabeth for many give excuses and have a tonne of reasons why the dog shouldn't come with them but Elizabeth knew he was family and there was no doubt he would fly with them home ❤️ Thank you for adopting Bailey and giving him a home off our streets! |

Mya & Tim in London
Look who's all the way off in London! Mya and Tim who were both adopted from us have since left Singapore for London with Saskia and Jorge. The duo were adopted seperately as puppies and when it was time for Saskia to leave, she knew she would be bringing her two canine pals with her. Mya and Tim are two very lucky street dogs who are now living it up in London! Thank you for adopting two Singapore Specials! |

Rose in America
Rose was born to a construction site in the Western end of Singapore. She was rescued with her siblings and mother who all eventually found amazing homes to call their very own! Rose was eventually adopted by Margaret and her beautiful family. When it was time for them to leave Singapore and return to America, Rose was up and ready to go with them. Rose now spends her days with Margaret and family in Houston and enjoys the vast green fields and chasing after grasshoppers! Thank you for adopting Rose and giving her a life of love and adventure! |
Teddy in America
Teddy says Hello from America! Teddy was found neglected, unkempt and skinny. He had not been cared for very well but yet he was still full of love and adoration for humans. Teddy was rescued and fostered by Alice and Schmike. They helped him put on weight, get used to proper toilet habits and learn to be part of a home again. He eventually melted the hearts of Nicole and her hubby who adopted Teddy. When they decided to leave Singapore, Teddy left with them. There were no second thoughts, buts or ifs. Teddy was family and Nicole knew she would take him wherever she went! Thank you Nicole for adopting and giving Teddy a life he could only dream of. |

Buddy in Australia
Buddy says HI! all the way from stunning Australia! Buddy used to be street dog who roamed a factory area with his sister in the far end of Singapore. His feeder approached us to help find the duo a home to call their on as road kill was common in the area due to heavy traffic. Buddy was eventually adopted by Yen Ping and her husband. When they were scheduled to leave Singapore due to a job offer, they knew Buddy would join them no matter what it would take. Buddy has since flown to Australia and living the life there. We are so heartened to see our Singapore Specials going places ! |

Suzuki in Houston
Stunning Suzuki says hi all the way from Houston! Suzuki used to be a street dog in the East who roamed a construction site. As part of our Trap Neuter Release Programme we trapped her and sterilised her. Eventually we took her in to rehome her as the work site was being demolished for redevelopment. Suzuki lasted her long flight to Houston despite her separation anxiety and claustrophobic nature. She knew her best friend, Claire and her family were waiting for her in Houston we guess! Suzuki is still getting used to things so they've gotten her a GPS tracker too just to be safe. Thank you Patterson's for adopting and loving Suzuki in spite of all of her quirks! |

Foxy in Jakarta
CAS doggies are all around the world! Check out stunning Foxy with the Dahl's in Jakarta. Foxy took the longest time to find a home of her own. She was good with people she met and took her on walks but generally aloof to others. This meant she never really won over anyone who came to visit. The Dahl's were looking for a canine to foster and Foxy somehow won their hearts. The rest as we know is history! Foxy ended up being adopted by the Dahl's and they eventually flew her all the way to Jakarta with them when they had to move. Thank you for giving Foxy yet another beautiful Christmas! Our Singapore Specials are indeed going places ♥ |
Jacky In Hong Kong
Five years ago, when Causes for Animals - Singapore opened its doors to street dogs and community cats, one of our first rescues was Jacky. Jacky was affectionately known as Jack Jack and used to roam Changi Airport. Like most places in Singapore, street dogs are deemed a pest and not welcomed as part of the community. We managed to get hold of Jacky after much effort and time. Jacky took a long while to open up to us but his good nature won the hearts of Aish and her husband. Jacky is now living the life in Hong Kong and we cannot thank Aish and her husband enough for loving a Singapore street dog and taking him wherever their jobs take them! Thank you for adopting a street dog in need ♥ |

Marshmallow In Thailand

Mubba In The UK
Look who's halfway round the world today? All the way from sunny Singapore, Mubba is now a proud canine citizen of the United Kingdom. Mubba was a street dog born in a farm in the North. We rescued her along with two of her siblings. She found a home with Kasia and family and when it was time for them to leave Singapore, Mubba was certainly going along. She now enjoys a yard of her own, lots of walks in the country side and tonnes of love from her beautiful family. Thank you for giving yet another street dog a home away from our streets and a lifetime of love and happiness! |
Buddy In Australia
Can you believe the way things have turned out for Buddy! Buddy previously known as Maui was rescued off the streets from a work site in the West. Buddy later found a home with Yen Ping and husband. The couple recently decided to make a move to Australia due to a job posting. Yen Ping and her husband knew they wanted Buddy to enjoy the rest of his life with them and there was no way they would leave him behind. With the support of Causes for Animals - Singapore and Canines Matter where he stayed till he was ready to fly, Buddy is finally HOME with his mum and dad! This is responsible pet ownership. A Pet is for Life. Thank you for reminding us the world still has a lot of good left in it! |
Wrinkle In The USA
Here's a beautiful update all the way from America! Wrinkle Boo Boo as we affectionately called him was rescued from a construction site in the East. We found him with two of his brothers who have also found homes to call their own. Wrinkle was adopted by Jennifer and family a few years back. When they moved back to America, they took Wrinkle all the way home with them! Wrinkle is enjoying his first Winter and he is loving it! We would like to thank Jennifer and her family for taking a Singapore Special with them all the way from Sunny Singapore to America. We hope that every street dog will one day find love and comfort with families to call their own! |
Jerry In The USA
Jerry was adopted from CAS three years ago by Neil and his wife! He was renamed Moscow. Moscow recently left sunny Singapore for America in early 2016! He now has his own yard to play in, has experienced snow and loves his romps outdoors with his mummy! Moscow was rescued from a family who barely fed him and he came to us malnourished and fearful. He loved his brother Ben and the duo gradually came out of their shells over time. Moscow eventually won the hearts of Neil and his wife. We would like to thank them for taking Jerry home to America and for giving a Singapore Special an amazing home to call its own! |

Charcoal In London
Look who is living it up all the way in London! Baby Charcoal was found in a sand pile with a huge wound on her back last year. The wound was filled with maggots and she was covered in ticks. She literally had been drained of blood. She was tiny and we had little hope she would survive. We did all we could to help Charcoal feel better for we were worried each day was her last. Thankfully, the wonderful folks at The Animal Doctors, Singapore helped with the daily bandage changing, wound cleaning and ensuring Charcoal's wound healed. Charcoal blossomed into a beautiful soul with a loving personality and a never say die attitude. Charcoal is now happily adopted by Sari and family who have since flew her to London with them in late 2015. Though her physical scars remain, we know Charcoal is loved and cherished by her amazing family. We are happy to see yet another Singapore Special in another part of the world with a second chance at life! |
