We will be at the next edition of Pets’ Day Out (PDO), held in conjunction with Parks Festival 2019 and Car-Free Weekend at Esplanade Park. There will be a plethora of activities for everyone!
You will be able to interact with the animals up for adoption at our booth and as well as other Animal Welfare Groups (AWGs). Pet owners can bring your pets for free health checks from the Animal & Veterinary Service*, or have a go at the dog agility course.
NParks has brought back Petzmania, where kids can learn basic pet care to be responsible pet owners through role-playing games and activities such as being a junior vet, pet groomer, pet trainer, or pet scholar for a day! This programme is free and suitable for kids aged 7 – 12. Sign up by 21 Oct to “chope” a spot!*

Animals' Day Out is a chance for pet owners and pet lovers to contribute to our annual flag day event. Our flag day tin volunteers (and many with their dogs) will be at various locations: Orchard, Tampines, Ang Mo Kio and Jurong.
You can also swing by our mini-carnival at Orchard Road to grab photos with your favourite characters including superheroes and more. You can take photos with CAS dogs, purchase animal-themed totes, tees, umbrellas & caps at our CAS merchandise booth.
The mini-carnival will be held from 10am to 5pm at Orchard Shopping Centre street level, 321 Orchard Road, (adjacent to Somerset 313, and outside the entrance to H&M).

The Dog Hash Chapter Charity Run
Sept 1, 2018 The Dog Hash Chapter is celebrating their 200th run on 1st September (Sat). This fund raising run is to benefit Causes For Animals in support of the work CAS does in their rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of stray dogs. Do donate generously and join them in this run. Support the awesome folks from Paws fur Life! Every August, we celebrate National Day. The doggies at our various shelters affectionately known as Singapore Specials would love to join in the celebrations too. You can make this happen! Paws fur Life has created a special SG52 grain-free meatloaf set just for them. For every meatloaf you order, here's what happens: 1) You pick the shelter you would like to donate to and they will deliver to them 2) 20% from the sale of each meatloaf will be donated to Causes for Animals Food Drive. Over 500 CAS Volunteers and their pets will be on our streets this Sunday from 10am to 6pm in support of rescue and street animals islandwide!
Animals' Day Out is a chance for pet owners and pet lovers to contribute to our annual flag day event. Our flag day tin volunteers (and many with their dogs) will be at various locations: Orchard, Tampines, Ang Mo Kio and Jurong.
You can also swing by our mini-carnival at Orchard Road to grab photos with your favourite characters including superheroes and more. There will also be a puppy photo booth and a CAS merchandise booth. We will be selling items for you and your pet, including ‘walk-a dog' balloons!
The mini-carnival will be held from 10am to 6pm at Orchard Shopping Centre street level, 321 Orchard Road, (adjacent to Somerset 313).

Chocolate is a street dog with demordex. Oral medication to treat this can be very expensive. Life is tough enough for the poor girl on the streets. We hope we can spare her the sorrow of a horrid skin condition.

Marsh was rescued from a farm area. He was found to have an abscess caused by an attack from another adult dog on the farm. His treatment has helped him get better and be the amazing puppy he is!

Meow had a huge wound on her face. She was picked up by her feeder in Jurong who appealed for our help with the wound.

Qq suffered from a respiratory problem as an adverse reaction to a hearworm treatnent jab. It left her in great pain and she had to withstand a long period of hospitalization.

Brownie required three bone restructuring operations after he was hit by a heavy vehicle and left to die on the streets.

We need your help!
Our medical aid fund is almost dry and this would mean animals in need of medical care both on our streets and in at the CAS Adoption Centre will no longer be able to receive the aid they so desperately need.
Often the victims of hit and run accidents, fights or abuse - many of these street dogs and cats require life saving, emergency treatment.
You can still help critically injured dogs and cats by becoming a CAS Emergency Saviour for Singapore Street Animals.
By becoming an emergency saviour you will be making sure these dogs & cats receive the care and treatment that they so much deserve!

The kind folks from Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) have invited two of our lovely dogs for an adoption drive this Sunday, 19 April 2015 at the Riding for the Disabled Association of Singapore (RDA) in conjunction with their Open House. There will be a line up events and activities for the young and old! As parking is limited, we advise you to take public transport. The nearest MRT station is CC17 Caldecott on the Circle Line which is about a 8 minute walk away and if coming by bus, please alight at the bus stop in front or opposite Far East Flora. From there it is a 5 minute walk to RDA. We have Candle and Rarity at this Sunday's event looking for homes! Both of whom are HDB approved young ladies waiting to spice up your lives! |

SMU food campaign (feb 2014)
In February, we visited SMU Campus to spread a little love with our Puppy Club Members. Thanks to the wonderful folks at SMU PAW, CAS as well as the 8 other food beneficiaries that benefit from our food drives will be able to fill more hungry bellies. We are so happy to announce that SMU PAW's facebook campaign has raised: Moomoo pets: 48 cans Addiction Pet Food: 385 cans Silversky: 42.2kg of kibble E.T.A Eagle Territorial Agency: 120 cans The total amount will be shared between the various shelters and rescuers under our Food Bundle Scheme! |

Singapore is land-scarce. Shelters for dogs are usually full to the brim. Dogs are taken in as quickly as volunteers get dogs adopted out, resulting in the existing residents of each shelter living in very close quarters.
Out in the streets, stray dogs fend for themselves out in the open, away from anything remotely anti-bacterial, in constant contact with germs and viruses. There are no immediate, cost-friendly solutions to keep both sorts of dogs healthy except to vaccinate them. Vaccination is a $18-a-pop solution that keeps each vaccinated dog healthy for the next 365 days. During that time, they are kept immunised against infectious, deadly diseases like the above-mentioned distemper and parvovirus. The $18 cost also includes dewormer for each individual dog, ensuring none die from eaten out from the inside by hookworms. |

Many people ask how CAS started and why it did. CAS started out as a result of the love and passion a group of us shared for animals and people in need. We wanted our street and shelter animals to have a clean, safe and warm place to call home till their forever homes came along. We also wanted to give back to our community, particularly animal-loving foreign workers, senior folks and the less fortunate. We wanted to do far more together with other shelters/rescuers and work towards our dream of a stray free Singapore where every animal is LOVED. Pictured here are Christine and Marcus (together with Singapore special Charlie). A couple brought together by their love for street dogs. They both first met when they started volunteering at a local shelter. They haven’t turned back since. Today, as part of CAS, they continue to help street and shelter animals in need through the various programmes CAS offers. Tonight, while most of us are out at dinners, the CAS team will be out on the streets with whom they love most, our street dogs! We aim to bring them a little LOVE this Valentines and what better way to do it than filling their hungry bellies. We thank you for your support and we hope you will continue to support us on the tough road towards a stray free Singapore. |

Animals For Asia Conference 2014
Jan 13 -17, Furama Riverfront Hotel We will be attending the Animals For Asia conference in Singapore this year! This event (Jan 13 to Jan 17) will give us the chance to join over 150 organisations from 30 different countries in sharing knowledge, learning and collaboration efforts, which can help us all develop more effective strategies for Animal Welfare. CAS is already reaching out to our neighbors to help learn more about how we can be more effective in our campaigns and strategies in Singapore. A CAS volunteer spent time with the Hong Kong SPCA late last year. They are having great successes with their Stray Management programmes. Hong Kong and Singapore have many similarities with their stray companion animals so we were keen to learn more about successful programmes that can be adopted in Singapore. Fiona Woodhouse from HKSPCA will be at the Animals for Asia conference as well, heading up the workshops Companion and Stray Dog Management. |

It was a busy day at our Open House held on Sunday Nov 17th. Thank-you to all guests and volunteers - our 'residents' had a great time too! All proceeds from our donation box ($700) have been given to the The International Fund for Animal Welfare who has sent a team to Tacloban, an area in the Philippines hit hardest by Typhoon Haiyan. The team has already begun rescuing stranded and starving street animals in Tacloban. |
